Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about ConvertFlow. Can't find an answer? Get in touch.

What video formats does ConvertFlow support?
ConvertFlow supports MP4, WebM, AVI, MOV, and MKV. You can convert between any combination of these five formats — all 20 conversion pairs are available.
What is the maximum file size?
The maximum file size for a single conversion is 200 MB. Files larger than this will be rejected at upload.
How long are my files stored?
Both the original upload and the converted output are automatically and permanently deleted within 2 hours of conversion. There is no manual review and no backup retention.
Do I need to create an account?
No. ConvertFlow requires no account, no email address, and no personal information of any kind. Just upload, convert, and download.
Is my video kept private?
Yes. Files are stored at randomised, non-guessable paths. Only you — via the unique download link — can access your converted file. We do not review or share your content with any third party. Read more on our Security page.
Will the conversion affect video quality?
ConvertFlow uses FFmpeg with sensible default settings to balance quality and file size. Some quality loss may occur when converting between lossy formats (e.g. MP4 to WebM). Converting to or from a lossless format will better preserve quality.
Why did my conversion fail?
Conversions can fail if the uploaded file is corrupted, uses an unusual codec not supported by FFmpeg, or exceeds the 200 MB size limit. Try re-exporting your file from your editing software and uploading again. If the issue persists, contact us.
